Great for teaching kids about money

My kids got their Visa Debit Card for Kids last week. It's been really good for teaching them how to manage their allowance. The app is straightforward, and they can see their balance easily. I like that Till is FDIC insured, gives me peace of mind. The referral bonus was a nice extra too. Definitely recommend Till Premium for parents.

Decent for kids, could improve

I got the Till card for my 12-year-old. The Parental Controls are good and the Instant Money Transfers are super convenient when he needs a quick top-up. I also appreciate that it's FDIC Insured Savings. However, the app can be a little slow to load sometimes, especially on older phones, which is a bit annoying. Also, while the Financial Literacy Tools are there, they feel a little basic compared to what I'd hoped for in terms of engaging content for teens. Overall, it's a good service for teaching money habits, but there's room for the app experience to feel more modern and snappy.

So easy to use!

I just set up the Family Banking Account for my daughter and got her the Visa Debit Card for Kids. It was so simple to do through the app! I love the Chore Management System. She's already excited about earning money for her Savings Goals Tracker. Definitely going to tell my sister about Till!

Good app, useful features

My son's teen debit card arrived pretty quick, took about 5 days to reach us. The app is straightforward. We set up his Automated Allowance and I like getting the Spending Alerts. He's been using it fine at stores. It seems like a solid way to manage his spending money without giving him cash all the time. No big complaints at all, it's been pretty smooth.

Consistent service, reliable

This is our third year using Till, first with my older daughter and now my younger one. I originally signed up for the Visa Debit Card for Teens and the Parent Wallet features, and they've always been reliable. The Spending Insights are still super helpful for seeing where their money goes. My older daughter uses the Direct Deposit for Teens now, which works flawlessly for her part-time job. It's been very consistent over the years, and that's why we've stuck with it. No surprises, just dependable service.

Thinking of getting Till for my son. Is it really fee-free like they say, or are there hidden charges for stuff like transfers or the card itself?

A Andre Q. 3 months ago
Yeah, it's pretty much fee-free for the basic stuff. No monthly fees or anything for the card itself. They do have a 'premium' tier but the standard one is solid.

Been using it for a few months now, no surprise fees popping up. Adding money is free too. So far so good!

how does till compare to greenlight? i'm looking for something to teach my teen about money, but there are so many options.

D David 2 months ago
I looked at both, and Till felt a bit more focused on the educational side and less on just spending. Plus, the allowance and chore management in Till is really intuitive.

Greenlight has some good features too, but I liked that Till really emphasizes the parent controls and savings goals. Also, the fee structure was clearer for me on Till. Worth checking out both though.
